The Class of 70

In order to save trees and cost, we are not planning to print an updated class directory this year but will make information available in electronic form to classmates who request it. We’re relying on your profile entries on this page to keep you connected with your classmates and let us all know what you’ve been doing for the last few decades.
Keep your profile up to date by returning to this page often to add more information.
Email and physical addresses and phone numbers will not be displayed on the internet. Please enter your full name, address and email.  Your reunion committee will then be able to contact you.  Your initial postings will appear on the website within 24 to 48 hours.

THANKS!

Harry Thompson

Occupation: art & photo gadfly
Comment: This long, strange trip is NOT over for us so let's make some NOISE while we're still in control of the VOLUME KNOB!!!  If you get my drift.

I vacillate between total wreckluse and showing at galleries.  Art and photography are easier than keeping a band together!

Sorry if I haven't acknowledged facebook for a few months, the divorce is distracting.

I'd love to make that CD for everybody but it would have to be a double album at least.  Bruce says I have to go to represent him and direct his fan mail.  But now that I've found out Ka(te) Flack is showing up, I'm in for sure.
Number of Grandchildren: there might be some out there somewhere

Comment: Wow, long time.  Ron and I married when we were 19, have been senior pastors of the same church from the age of 24. The church we pastor is Yakima Christian Center.  We have two great children.  Eric, our son, is married to Autumn, they have 2 boys and 2 girls.  Lisa, our daughter, is married to Ted, they have 1 girl and 1 boy.  I have had the priviledge of being very involved in all six of my grandchildren's lives.  They all live here in Yakima, so we have been very blessed.  I do see some from school once in a while when we run into each other somewhere in town.  Hope you are all doing well.   Jan (Maier) Torres

Sarah Voss (Walker)

Marital status: Married
Children: 2
Occupation: Public Works Admin Secretary/Retired
Comment: After Jim retired he asked me where I would like to spend the next adventure.  I needed to be back to the water.  We live on Reach Island on Case Inlet, west of the Key Penninsula.  Yes there are a lot of stairs in our old cabin house, but the views are spectacular.  Life is wonderful walks around the island, visiting in the street (only one street loop) with neighbors, gardening for the deer and making quilts.  Jim and I are very comfortable and hapy with our retirement.

Bruce Warninger

Comment: I'm living in rural Pennsylvania on about 30 acres, close to Scranton. (please no Office jokes)

Thanks for the memories!

The 60s - 70s were the best of times and IKE was a big part of that.  If I could make a recall of the perfect night it would be a friday night playing poker with Englund, McVey, Tweten, Gosney and maybe a few others.  We would for hours and maybe win or lose $10.  Great times.

The best music is also from that era. I still mostly listen the music of those years and many songs bring back instant memories.  A Johnny Rivers song reminds me of Englund, a BST song reminds me of Mike Poluck pounding out the rhythym on the dash of his car, Sergio Mendez songs remind by of McVey (you know you don't here many of his songs), I can remember Dennis Packer lip sync to the Hollys, the Ventures always reminds me of Harry Thompson,  Afternoon Delight brings back thoughts of S.S.  i hear "in the summertime" by Mungo Jerry I remember Dave Page sing this as we floated the Yakima River.

I won't be there this year, but always thinking of you guys. Toast one for me and I'll do the same.

Carol Wild-DeLano (Hiatt)

Marital status: Married

Occupation: Educator
Comment: I have called everyone with a phone number on Punky's list! It was great to talk with everyone!

If there is anyone we have accidently missed, please let them know the "what" and "when" reunion info! Thanks! If Moe hadn't mentioned it a couple of months ago, I, too, might be blissfully unaware of the passage of time! LOL)

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone after 40 years! I've been in the "Gorge", instructing art and graphics, raising sons, windsurfing and snowboarding for most of the past 30 years.

I have two sons. Mike, 27, was a professional athlete (football) and is now a personal trainer and Crossfit gym owner. Vic, 23, is one of the top US snowboard racers and a WC and Olympic contender. No grandchildren in our immediate future, though Mike has a longtime and wonderful girlfriend!  :o)

My husband, Ron, and I moved back to Yakima for lots of reasons, but most of all to be near my elderly mother. I currently instruct high school photography and, while I love working directly with students, hope to make an even bigger contribution in the future as an area administrator.
